I was suffering horribly for years from digestive issues. My doctor precribed daily Zocor. I still suffered, waking at 4 every morning in pain. I returned to the doctor and was prescribed another proton pump inhibitor to take at night, while continuing to take the morning one. I thought that this couldn't be right as I need acid to digest food. I started researching online and found GreatTasteNoPain. I bought the books - they would be cheap at twice the price, as by following this eating system I am COMPLETELY pain free and take NO proton pump inhibitors - which saves me a ton of money. I can't stress enough how easy it is to follow (BTW, I've also lost about 15lbs - effortlessly, and feel full of energy)

I have tried Great Tast No Pain since begining of Nov. 2010 and it has been awesome. I lost 16 pounds in about 2 weeks. It fell off me, now it is balanced out. I did not go into this as a diet at all. I went in to it as a Life style change like it suggests. I have Diverticulitis and a Hiatal hernia. My hole life (44 yrs. old) I have been suffering from acid reflux because of my hiatal hernia. When I turned 40 I had my first bout of Diverticulitis. WOW was that painful! So had a colonoscopy and endo. Doc's thought my esophagus was really red and worried more about that than the divert. So put me on acidphex. That worked for the acid. I was told by a colleague about GTNP and did nothing but store it in the back of my brain. Until, Oct. when I had another bout of Diverticulitis. Then I started reading all the reviews about GTNP (I'm a skeptic). The only thing I saw bad about this was, "I didn't lose the weight others did or to much money. Money thing please got mine for about $40, so worth it. those people don't have enough pain and to many visits to doc yet, to feel the pain. $40 is nothing when having all my visits to doc's and my ailments.

GTNP has been a blessing to me. I have had no issues since Nov. and had a couple of close calls because you do start to feel great and try to go off the path. You can treat yourself every once and while. This is not a diet so eat what you want but responsibly.

Things I have done as well just to try to help me. I eat very little red meat, I just treat myself every once and while. No more fried chicken and I loved both. I also don't drink soda's or caffeine. Just ginger ale every once and while. This has been my choice.

I hope this helps some people to make the leap and change their life style. It has worked so far for me.

Hi Eliz,

So sorry to read your health problems have gone on so long.

Please let us know how the a day trial went, but I expect that with such a long history, it may take a little longer before you will see if it works or nor.

Regards,
Sam

P.S. I'm just wondering if they have ruled out crohn's disease?

Hi Sam

I'm desperate. Now have committed to trying the GTNP for th 4 day trial. If it works for me I will be amazed. I've 27 years of gastro - intestinal pain and bloating, had my gallbladder removed 3 yrs ago and still no relief. My gastro intestinal probs have been investigated so many times i've lost count. I've had 5 colonoscopy's, 4 endoscopy's, barium meals, CAT scans, XRAYS and still no diagnosis. The illness is overwhelming me now. I can't take much more. I'm at risk of losing my job; I'm depressed, anxious and have no energy. I NEED a CURE now.

Hi Natalie,

Thanks for your comment.

I can Sooo understand "every once in a while I don’t eat properly and I pay for it."
I've found that if there is something you really crave, it's better to just eat a little and keep making the gap between giving in longer LOL.

To all who are sceptical of this program, don't be. I have suffered for 20+ years with chronic constipation. I used to go 3-4 or more days without having a bowel movement. I have been given all kinds of home remedies and doctor recommended concoctions, in the hospital for 3 days (they found nothing) and even had a colonoscopy to see if there was some blockage somewhere.

Thank God I did not develop any serious ailments from so many years of not having normal bowel movements but it was not until I tried Sherry's free 4 day trial plan that I got immediate relief and have been pain free ever since.
I will admit every once in a while I don't eat properly and I pay for it. The bloating, cramps and gas all come creeping back, so yes as mentioned earlier you have to stick with eating as Sherry suggests.

And no this is not a diet you have to follow, it is good eating habits and knowing what foods you can eat together and which ones you can't.
This is the simplest, easiest and cheapest thing I have done for myself that has given me the relief I have been searching for for years. I still enjoy everything I have always eaten although I have to say that I don't crave the sweets anymore and I have lost about 10 lbs since January when I started the plan.
I would recommend this plan to anyone suffering with any of conditions that are mentioned on The Great Taste, No Pain website. Give the 4 day Free Trial a chance to prove itself to you.
You will become a believer as I have.

To your health,
Natalie

Hi George,

Thanks for your taking the time to leave a comment.

This is a question best sent to Great Taste No Pain, as they know exactly what you would need to do for Diverticulitis. You can contact the company from this form.

My non professional view is that it should still be able to help, if you read the book fully and then make sure that you select the right foods when deciding what you will be eating.

I also think that when you start to see results, you should have less flare ups of your Diverticulitis, and therefore less time dealing with the effects, so you might find that you do have time to cook a meal from time to time. :-)

I'd love to read how things worked out, so do come back and let us know.

Sam
